Add all liquid ingredients to a medium-size bowl and mix thoroughly.
Add dry ingredients to the liquid ingredients and mix until combined with minimal lumps.
Use a ladle or measuring cup to pour batter into your waffle iron, being sure not to overfill.
Cook for 3-5 minutes, keeping a close eye on them to make sure they don't burn.
Carefully remove waffles from waffle iron and serve.
Store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge once completely cooled. Waffles will stay good for three days on the counter or one week in the fridge.
Notes
How long the waffles take to cook depends on whether your child likes crispy or soft waffles. If you are going for soft, check them after two minutes. If you are going for well-done and crispy, it will be closer to the 5-6 minute range, depending on your waffle iron.
